05

Stands

For LEGO lovers, PLUG had an amazing stand in our event, stock full of amazing LEGO® creations!

The Good’N’Evil shop, along with their partners KitMania, were also present in our event with an stand filled with science-fiction merchandise for all tastes (and wallets!).

06

Workshops

Artistic fencing Master, Eugénio Roque, was present at our event, for a Choreographed Sword Fighting Workshop. Many potential Jedis attended our training, in which our master tried to help them use the force!

Eugénio Roque has choreographed more than fifty fighting scenes, both for theatre and cinema, being one of the five members of the Commission for Artistic Fencing, part of the International Weapons Academy, elected in the Bad Wildungen Congress, in Germany in 2002.

07

Boardgames

Together with the Lisbon’s Boardgamers Group, we had a collection of the best science-fiction board games, available for fans of the hobby, or anyone else, to play.

Amongst the multitude of games, there were some of the best known franchises of the genre, like Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica or Firefly, and some less known, like Netrunner, to show our public this socially interactive hobby.

All the games available had helpers ready to explain them, so that, in just a few minutes time, our guests could be controlling an X-wing or Firefly class ship, hacking the private servers of a MegaCorp in a cyberpunk setting, or doing anything else they could possibly imagine.

08

Miniatures Games

On our Miniature Area, our guests could try out some Miniature games, such as Battletech, Infinity and also Warhammer 40k.

There were also exhibitions of various miniatures and sets, constructed and painted by enthusiasts of the hobby.

09

Roleplaying Games

Role-playing games were also present in our event, with various game sessions, in the Sci-fi genre.

Open for all players, from the newbies to the more experienced, not only could guests sign up as players, they could also schedule a new game session as a Game Master, in which other players could then play.

This RPG area was only possible with the help of Lisbon’s Roleplayers Group and GEST – Grupo de Estratégia, Simulação e Táctica do Instituto Superior Técnico

10

Videogames

Courtesy of our partner, 1Up, we had several video-game consoles in freeplay mode.

From retro-gaming to the newest consoles, and with different games, so that guests could have a varied experience throughout the weekend.

Some of the games were for two players, which meant you could bring that friend that never had the amazing experience of trying out an older console.

We also had  the Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator available so that Star Trek fans (and any other sci-fi fan) could have a once in a lifetime experience, being in control of different space ship stations, like Weapons or Engineering.

It’s not only a game, but also an opportunity to test your abilities to survive in a Universe filled with dangers!
